Useful information to have before making your custom cake order...
Lead Time
We will always do our best to accommodate all orders, but for the best service, we recommend the following lead times:
Celebration Cakes, Cookies, Cupcakes: 1 month (May-October), 2 weeks (November-April)
Wedding Cakes: 6 months-1 Year (May-October), 3 months (November -April)
Please book your date as early as possible to avoid disappointment!
Deposits & Payments
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The final payment is due 1 month before your event. 
For orders with less than 1 month's notice, full payment is required upon booking.
Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, eTransfer, cash. 
Cancellations
COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY
Dear customers,
These are trying times. We know that plans can change at any time, and often they are not in your control. As a small business we feel that pain more than ever. To help, we’ve modified our standard cancellation policy to be a little more understanding and provide clarity. These timelines reflect the amount of work and commitment that goes into every order.

10+ days in advance: Your order is scheduled, and our staff has been scheduled, but we can still make changes. We still have time to book another cake in your place.
Option 1: Full refund less $10 processing.
Option 2: Full credit towards future order.
For example: If you are picking up your order on Saturday, November 21st, the last day to cancel or reschedule would be Wednesday, November 11th. 

4-9 days in advance: Advance work on art pieces has likely started, ingredients are ordered and our staff has been scheduled to work on your cake. We cannot change their schedule by this point. We may or may not be able to book another cake in your place.
Option 1: 50% refund of all monies received.
Option 2: Full credit towards future order.
For example, if you are picking up your order on Saturday November 21st, the last day to cancel or reschedule would be Tuesday, November 17th.

1-3 days in advance: Work has started on your cake. Ingredients have been paid for and received. It is very unlikely that we will book a cake to take your place.
No refund. No credit.
STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY
For orders cancelled more than 90 days from delivery, 25%, up to $100, will be charged. 
For orders cancelled 31-90 days from delivery, 50% of total will be charged.
For orders cancelled 30 days or less from delivery, the full amount will be charged. 
Alterations
Alterations can be made. wherever possible, at our discretion. For major alterations, there may be additional costs if some work has already been completed.
Delivery
Delivery and set-up is available and must be booked in advance. Delivery charges depend on location and set-up detail. You may pick up your cake at no charge, but keep in mind that once it has left the shop, the safety and responsibility of your cake is yours and Dolcezza Custom Cakes is no longer liable for any damages. 
Allergies
We are not a nut-free facility. While we practice due diligence to avoid cross contamination, we cannot guarantee that your cake has not come into contact with any allergens including, but not limited to, nuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, soy, gluten.
